the north show

design $ branding

A rebranding of an iconic local event delivered by our create photographers and graphic designers in Guernsey

Reinventing much-loved and historic local events is always a tough proposition. The key is to update the event for a new generation without alienating the people already invested in it. That was our brief when we took on the role of rebranding and marketing The North Show.

We wanted to rebrand the North Show while honouring its original spirit and purpose. We also wanted to ensure that both the past and the future were honoured with equal enthusiasm. Our graphic designers took the original logo and gave it a modern makeover by adding custom illustrations. This logo would set the tone for the entire rebranding process, so it had to be authentic and sensitive to what had gone before.

Very early on, our Guernsey graphic designers decided that capturing the family-friendly nature of the event was a priority – as was the need to pay homage to the event’s agricultural roots. What our exceptional designers came up with managed to tick every box, including portraying a sense of community, positivity, and fun.

defining the future of the north show with a clear vision for branding and graphic design

Our Guernsey designers created a unique new branding for the North Show that made all the event assets identifiably theirs. With bright and bold colours and a playful aesthetic, it means this new brand will stand the test of time, and keep the North Show looking fresh for years to come, appealing to all generations of visitors.

building a powerful legacy for future generations

Everywhere we went, we received thanks and compliments from local people. This event is huge for the local community, and our hard work plays a significant role in ensuring it lives on for future generations to enjoy.

Our coverage reached thousands of people across the Channel Islands and drove a huge number of social media engagements.

social media marketing initiatives designed to amplify messaging through collaboration with participants

Our graphic designers designed and created a selection of social media stickers to amplify our messaging and maintain brand consistency throughout the event.

Our social media team posted throughout the two-day show – raising brand awareness, raising the profile of the event for future years, and encouraging stallholders, participants, and guests to post their images and stories from the event to their social media accounts.

And our creative photography made use of various angles and shooting locations to generate interest – from the use of drone technology to the socalled ‘chair-o-plane’.

The entire team at Buzz Creative Studio have been fantastic to work with. No task was too much and everything we asked, they delivered on! With tight turnarounds sometimes needed, nothing was ever too much trouble for them.

We can't wait to work with the entire team again to prepare for next years show!
